When I bought my house, the inspector mentioned that it reminded him of the show, Mad Men. Wood paneling, bamboo wall paper, and telephone lines strung through the house. The kitchen had the original 1969 mustard Formica countertops, stove, oven, and vent. The bathrooms had 7 foot ceilings, Formica wrap around countertops, and blue glass floor tiles. In short, I loved everything about it. So I started watching Mad Men and was addicted. The clothes! The furniture! Megan and Don’s apartment!

Much to my surprise and delight, my latest dress began to look like something Joan would wear when I started fitting it. It’s a heavy blue fabric lined with a white satin. The white was left over from making wedding flowers. I’ve worn the dress twice so far and been truly delighted with it.
