{ cool breeze and falling leaves }

Fall has arrived! The days are cool enough for scarves, open windows, and mugs of hot tea. It also means time for knitting! I have two knitting projects in the works at the moment. This time of year, everything is a gift so this is a bit of teaser until the end of December. These are the yarns!

Shibui Heichi – It’s 100% recycled silk in worsted colors. The colorway that I’m using is Chestnut 14; I’d call it Rust.

Prism Delicato This yarn is soft! It’s 100% tencel. Prism hand dyes their yarns a range of bright, exuberant colors. The skein I found is a blend of maroon and burnt orange.

Both of these were found after many hours perusing and hanging out at a local yarn store, Hill Country Weavers. A friend and I spent an entire afternoon exploring their “yarn outlet”, reading patterns on the couch, and touching every gorgeous fiber they carry.
