{ crafting and grafting }

As I finished off one of my knitting projects this week, I had to learn to graft using a Kitchner stitch. My go-to for knitting explanations is the Knit Witch on Youtube. It turned out alright, except that I pulled the stitching a bit too tight. It’s not an invisible join by any means.

For the next project, I’m going to need to graft again though I’m modifying the pattern in a way that makes it a bit complicated. Unlike the first attempt that was knitted stitches for the entire row, this will be both purl and knit stitches. A little research lead me to this amazing blog post bookmarked for a few weeks down the road. I’ll definitely be  practicing this a few times to make it truly invisible!
