it’s a new year, with new goals and time to accomplish them. i haven’t pulled out the sewing machine in a while so i signed up for a class with Dixie DIY at The Cloth Pocket.
we’ll be making sweatshirts with knits so i pulled out the fabric purchased from mood ages ago. you might remember seeing this jersey several blog posts ago:

the class used the Linden Sweatshirt pattern from Grainline Studios. it ended up being a simple pattern, especially because there were sergers set up for us to use. my biggest struggle was deciding where to cut the pattern pieces from the fabric. i’m so grateful to the other woman in the class who suggested using the bottom part where it fades to navy. The hem and cuff ended up blending perfectly. I used the fun “fish-scaled” area for the neckline.
