my office re-organized half the teams recently. one of my coworkers jumped to a new team that decided to call themselves the Kernel Hats. something about the Linux kernel and whatnot. i stopped listening, immediately filled with visions of corn on the cob and hat mash-ups.

turns out the internet doesn’t have much to offer for “corn hat knitting”. after a bit of research, I did find a purple grape hat pattern using the bubble stitch. adding ear flaps to get a bit more husk, it turned out several sizes too big but entirely delightful.
