{ tiny knits }

Towards the end of 2018, I finished two knitting projects.

One was a pair of fingerless gloves using the BonBons pattern with a super soft cotton/acrylic blend in “apricot jam”, aka orange. I made one glove years (years!) ago and lost enthusiasm to do a second glove. I re-purposed the yarn for a cabled hat pattern in a toddler size.

It turned out super soft, if a bit chunky. I wasn’t happy enough with it to gift it.

The second project was much more intentional. While traveling through Italy, I picked up some merino wool Sesia Mistral in a light green. This top down raglan sweater pattern seemed doable. And it was! The sweater turned out beautifully!

I had a bit of yarn left so I made a matching hat using a Purl Soho pattern for a classic cuffed hat. I left off the pom pom. In addition to being a simple pattern, I really love the elasticity of the cuff using the cast on recommended in the link. It turned out beautifully and was wearable from birth to 6 months.
