Neither the new hubby nor I wear rings on a regular basis so we spent an afternoon trying different rings.
Gold. Silver. Platinum. Titanium. Thin. Thick. Matte. Shine. Engravings. Imprints.
After getting an idea of what we liked, we each went home to order a ring. While they don’t look alike, they are both tungsten. Mine is a 2 mm, rose gold, tungsten band. His is a 6 mm, flat, silver, tungsten band. So far we have not destroyed them… nor had our fingers cut off. (We’re told tungsten rings are now made with pressure points to allow them to be broken off.)
For the wedding, I made a small pillow with extra fabric from my bouquet. It was a cute little puff of a thing with ivory ribbons to tie the rings. But it was missing lace! How did I not know how gorgeous lace was until getting married?! I trimmed a strip of ivory lace for each side and hand-stitched it. It worked perfectly for our 4 year old nephew to carry down the aisle.
